BACK IN THE DAY...

When old mustached men tried to pick up little
girls with pig tails
When this was considered'groovy'
When obese slobs ruled their wives
When women used darling in every sentence
When shells were a lady's essential pair of bikinis

and when plastic was ditched from covering food and
used for a standard party skirt.

PRONE TO CANCER

It's too hot just way too hot! It hasn't even hit
the 30s yet and you can already cook an egg on me.
The only reason why the beach is good is because it
has a massive bath tub right at your feet. Being at
home with a pool is almost just as good I guess...
Though I don't have no fancy pancy pool. Which
therefore leaves me no other choice but to send
some sort of SOS to the world. Offering my life
savings just to deliver a blow up pool (already
blown up) straight to my house. It aint fair just
look how these little guys roll...aaaargh.
Life could be a dream sha boom!

JUPITER

This here is a lovely duo called Jupiter, I first
heard them from this track Mama Used To Say and
grew an instant love for it, with her cute voice
singing lyrics I can relate to and of course the
enjoyable synth sounds!
mp3. Mama Used To Say - Jupiter
This is another one of their trakcs Chip. It's
Seinfeld Theme song all over again haha! only
because it has been remixed by Shook who has made
it much more preferable than the original. Her
voice fits in a heap better and everything else
added has made it so much more funky!
This song is a track from Chew Lips that Jupiter
have remixed it's quite and upbeat and fun song.
Although I'm not sure whether I like this one or
the original as it's a bit more slower. The video
for the orig is pretty quirky, I love the drawings
and how they move around and link up to something.
It's quite creative and gets me thinking about
what in the hell it all means...
Last off, Jupiter has grabbed the track Nightdrive
With You by ANORAAK and remixed it. It is probably
my favourite out of the bunch we have here. It's
much more chilled and laid back with a range of
good sound effects. On top of that is his darling
voice and real sweet lyrics.

LYKKE LI

Marathon of heartbreak...

Until We Bleed
I'm naked
I'm numb
I'm stupid
I'm staying
And if Cupid's got a gun, then he's shootin'

Lights black
Heads bang
You're my drug
We live it
You're drunk, you need it
Real love, I'll give it

So we're bound to linger on
We drink the fatal drop
Then love until we bleed
Then fall apart in parts

You wasted your times
On my heart
You've burned
And if bridges gotta fall, then you'll fall, too

Doors slam
Lights black
You're gone
Come back
Stay gone
Stay clean
I need you to need me

So we're bound to linger on
We drink the fatal drop
Then love until we bleed
Then fall apart in parts

Now we're bound to linger on
We drink the fatal drop
Then love until we bleed
Then fall apart in parts

WOLF GANG

This petrified cat sure has nothing to do with
this song besides the fact that I would get into
some sort of 'cat fight' if someone disagreed on
how good this remix of
The King And All Of His Men
is. It's soooo smooth, it has the power to
sometimes put me to sleep yet can get me in such
a boppin jolly mood! The main upbeat noise which
I can't explain unless you hear it has been
replaying in my head over and over and I guarantee
it will do the same to you! dodododoo do do...

PHOENIX

So senttimental, not sentimental, no!
Litsztomania has always been my favourite
song from Phoenix with it's quirky and catchy
lyrics. Yet this video has made me love the
song even more, with sections of of hit flick
movies from the 80's which fit in perfectly
with the song. I'm real keen on their dance
moves they've got going on too. How they are
just prancing around on their feet and
wiggilin' anything and everything. Haha makes
me wanna do it too!

Cass McCombs

You Saved My Life
Really who is this guy Cass? He seems and sounds
like an old western 'lost soul'. But this song
was the one that caught my attention the most out
of the others that I heard. It's quite a smart
way to film it and it even makes my bottem lip
hang:(

FENECH SOLER

LET'S GO SURFING

Don't I just wish it was that easy to wake up in
the morning and say so casually "Let's Go Surfing"
Well technically summer is around the corner and
soon I'll actually be able to say this! Woooooo.
Despite the fact I can't surf even if my life
depended on it. But that isn't the point here,
Point is this song gets me hyped about waking up
in the morning might be a smart idea to set it
as my alarm. Though it also makes me feel a bit
western and I don't think that's good thing haha.
I do indeed like this video though, really enjoying
the boy bunch running on the beach at night...
Maybe that explains why they're quite albino?
Yeah I talk to much... All you need to know is this
song has free relaxing vocals, jolly whistles,
some hidden claps and repetitive guitar sounds :)

FLORENCE + THE MACHINE

The xx have remixed 'You've Got The Love' what more

could you ask for! The original is much more high
pitch and I easily prefer The xx vocals. To be
honest I'm once again speechless by how amazingly
soothing their voices are. This video is from
Florence's original version, I mean I like the
stars intro and the moon prop, fake clouds and
balloons effect but the rest of the people just
freak me out (not a fan at all). Anyway The xx
have succeed once again and I continue to be
impressed :)

'Rabbit ♥' is such an uplifting song! It starts
off with soft little asian dingding sounds and
suddenly her voice just shines through with the
perfect amount of energy, it's so calming but
relieving at the same time. Forgot to mention
how wonderlandish the video is as they try to
tell a story with people prancing around like
wild little rabbits... just brillaint.

"A little bit of this a little bit of that"

Hahaha he doesn't just have to dj for you to love him!

CHROMEO

I cannot believe this is my first ever post

of Chromeo. Needy Girl, Tenderoni, Momma's Boy,
100%, Call Me Up, Fancy Footwork, Outta Sight...
Wow come to think of it every single song they
made was amazing. Romantic grooving masters,
Dave 1 and P-thug have hit it off with their
song Night By Night. The original has a sort of
'eye of the tiger' in a battle ring/guitar feel
hahaha and i wasn't completely in love until
i found a remix done by Skream that has a more
laid back beat to it... It just sets a way
better mood and Daves melting voice is easier
to enjoy. They were, they are & they always be
my mighty favourite.

SWICK

'SWICK IT OUT'

If you haven't already heard of SWICK then you're in for some serious fun! This Melbourne boy is sure known to live on slurpees and takeout but at the age of 17 he has some super serious talent on his hands! He excelled recently by being swept up by Record Label Sweat It Out and signed with his own song 'Grow Up' - Such a catchy, playful & fun tune. The EP will be released in December with remixes from Cassian and more! Personally I cannot wait! So grab his Mixtape that is jam packed with 80 songs, all in just 30 minutes. You'd be crazy not to! <3

Louis La Roche remix of Fountain Of Youth by Boy Crisis...
"prepare to groove!" (hahaha)

CLASSIXX

Let's fly away with the Classixx... it's evident now that they are beyond incredible! So just embrace how calm and chilled this remix of Green Eyed Love is :)

MIAMI HORROR

This just makes me want to runaway to a deserted island with nobody other than that one special person...Aaaaa most amazing song I've heard!

DAS POP

Butterfly belly aches...

The lyrics are cute and fun and that's exactly what
this little cartoony clip delivers...That's
probably why I like the song just because of this
clip... I just want to jump in and fly around. It
reminds me of a typical young boy band song and I
guess you got to be in the mood though. If you're
feeling bouncy, drummy and guitary then this is
for you :)

POP THE GLOCK

She just came out of nowhere with this video for Pop The Glock, I am so happy she finally did woooooooo! It's so fun, creative and hip.
I also can't wait for her album coming out soon, Yaaaaaay!! Oh and I want this bag... someone gimmieee.

SEXUAL HEALING

When I get that feeling...

This has got to be greatest classic song of all time! It makes me feel like I'm in paradise drinking some sort of sweet punch with sugar around the rim of the glass, fruit hanging off it and little umbrellas popping out of it (mmm) and on a hot summers night with the sunset beaming in the backdrop with no one other than yo "loverrr".

MATILDA

"Would little Brucey

come up here please"
This cake looks deadly haha (well done Brucey!)I
love this movie way too much you NEED to go hire it
watch it now! If you haven't then youhad absolutely no
childhood or it was just really crappy. I remember
rewinding this video in the VCR once i had finished
watching it and then i'd watch it all over again!
Ooooo I wish i still had had her magic powers!

THE XX

Did they just fly in from space? because i swear this band just came out of nowhere, or i just simply discovered them a bit late!
Romy, Oliver, Baria and Jamie are who make up this awesome foursome 'indie' soul post punk slow jamming new wave uhhh i actually have no idea what genre they fall under haha! Though what i do know is i've grown an instant love for these little London geeks. Their music is the sort that you lay on the floor and sing along with. Maybe just the type you bop your head slowly too or just simply stand there swaying to the guitar sounds like you're a made of jelly (aeroplane jelly...mmmmm) Anyway so their album is called XX (wouldn't have guessed that! haha)
So here are some songs from the album that make me la di da! Oh and the song teardrops they totally stole but hey that's okay because they gave it their own little vibe and it's even a little touching (awww)

PSYCHIC CITY

Come on over over,

we're having a

party for you!

So what's the go with all these bum fat foods?
Well if you ask me I have no answer other then Mmmmmmmmmm and I feel like Homer. J Simpson dribbling for a donut. Anyway my point is that I have the perfect song to go with the next fancy party you are planning! The original was done by YACHT called Psychic City but CLASSIXX have done a remix of it and it's s-s-s-s-superb! These guys are my fav they always make their remix of a song so much better then the orig. They give you the feeling like your sleeping on a cloud or falling from the sky really slowly with the warm wind blowing in your hair, weeeeeeeeeee. The lyrics on the track are tip top, I really do love it, love it :)
